Braveheart is an extraordinary event honoring everyday heroes. It brings together a community to recognize those who go above and beyond in bettering those around them. The 3rd Annual Braveheart Awards in 2012 was in honor of Special Olympics - for their dedication and effort to contributing to those with special needs.

1:15PM: Braveheart Awards Ceremony, Hosted by Maria Stephanos
2:15 – 4:00PM: Sports Stations Hosted by our Special Guest Athletes:
•Football Toss with Joe Andruzzi & Steve Nelson
•Track & Field with Joan Benoit Samuelson
•Basketball Basics with Salvador Pina
•Soccer Skills with Challenger Sports
Please join us, rain or shine! Fun Run & Activities will
accommodate athletes of all ages & abilities. 

Event Highlights:

• Hosted by Maria Stephanos of Fox 25 News
• Kids Fun Run & Torch Lighting Ceremony with Olympic Gold Medalist, Joan Benoit Samuelsson and Special Olympians
• Celebrity Athletes - will talk about “no limits” in obtaining dreams and interact with guests through activities.
• Former Patriot Joe Andruzzi & Steve Nelson, Patriots Hall of Famer, hosting a Football Activity for Special Olympians
• Former Celtic Chris Herren & the Boston Marathon's Team Hoyt
• Feed Poppy the Piggy Bank with 100% of all Braveheart Awards proceeds collected donated to Special Olympics
• Believe In Your Dreams art exhibit from local schools exhibited throughout the center
